Zachary Coates, OD


Dr. Zachary Coates completed his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University College of Engineering in Chemical and Biomolecular engineering in 2015. After which he attended The Ohio State University College of Optometry where he graduate with his MS in Vision Science and his OD in 2019. Through 2019 into 2020 he completed a residency in ocular disease and primary care at the Columbus and Chillicothe VA Medical Centers. After completing residency he joined the associate faculty at OSU's College of Optometry and the staff at Comprehensive Eye Care of Central Ohio in Westerville, Ohio. Currently he serves as an assistant clinical professor at the college where he serves as an attending in the contact lens service, as well as a variety of other clinics. In his free time Dr. Coates enjoys hiking the metro parks of the Columbus area, and checking out the various local craft breweries.
