Whitney McConkey, OD

I'm Dr. McConkey. I graduated from The University of Maryland, College Park, with a degree in Cellular Biology and Molecular Genetics and then from Salus University. I completed a residency in Ocular Disease and worked in a private ophthalmology practice before opening a dry eye and specialty lens clinic. McConkey Eye Care opened in 2023, in Nottingham, Maryland. In 2024, we opened our second office in Jarrettsville, Maryland. I have four fabulous employees and a summer high school intern. When I am not working, I spend time with my husband, four-year-old daughter, and dog, Max. I will be missing my daughter's fourth birthday to be at GPLI symposium, but I promised to make it up to her with a big rainbow unicorn birthday party.
