Nithya Vemula, OD

My name is Nithya Vemula, and I am currently an Ocular Disease Resident with emphasis in Cornea, Contact Lenses, and Refractive & Ocular Surgery at Fromer Eye Centers in Bronx, NY. Originally from Memphis, TN, I graduated from Southern College of Optometry and previously lived in New Orleans while attending Tulane University.

Beyond my professional life, I’m passionate about exploring new places and cultures. Whether it’s planning events, getting lost in a good memoir, or finding the best matcha spots, I love filling my free time with new experiences. I’m also on a personal mission to visit all 50 states — 24 more to go! In the next few years, I hope to cross them all off my list and discover even more along the way.
