Melissa Chabane, OD


Dr. Melissa Chabane recently graduated from the Université de Montréal, where she got her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2026. She is currently completing a specialty contact lens residency at the university.

She is particularly interested in specialty contact lenses, dry eye disease, myopia control, and ocular health. During optometry school, she was involved in research projects focused on dry eye disease and myopia management and completed an ocular health externship in the United States.

Outside of optometry, Melissa enjoys travelling, hiking, and reading. She loves discovering new places and cultures and is always looking forward to her next adventure. She also shares her home with a white cat named Yuki, whose name means “snow” in Japanese.
