Marissa Gomez, OD

Dr. Marissa Gomez graduated with a degree in Biology from Texas State University. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry.

While in school, she remained an active member of numerous organizations, a teaching assistant in the medical procedures laboratory and maintained part-time employment at a specialty contact lens office.

During her third year, she was awarded the NOA Associates Service Award and the HOYA Corporation Scholarship for her academic competitiveness and passion in the field.

Her enthusiasm, compassion, and knowledge are evident to all she encounters. She was one of two students sponsored to attend the 2019 Vision by Design conference in San Antonio, TX, because of her interest in myopia management and scleral lens applications. Finally, out of 104 students in her class, she was the only student chosen to rotate at The Contact Lens Institute of San Antonio.

When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Gomez enjoys spending time with her boyfriend JC and their dog Lilly. She also enjoys cooking, DIY projects, spending times outdoors and growing succulents!
