Wilmer Eye - Faculty

Laura Goldberg, OD

I am currently an Assistant Professor at the Wilmer Eye Institute associated with Johns Hopkins University. I graduated from New England College of Optometry and completed a residency in Primary Care & Ocular Disease at VAMC Wilmington, DE. While in optometry school, I performed research on possible causes of the developmental progression of myopia in children and received my Master’s in Vision Science. My research sparked my passion for myopia control, and I currently offer a myriad of therapies to help slow near-sightedness. I am also a specialist in fitting complex contacts and dry eye disease. Ultimately, I envision my career unfolding at the nexus of all three optometric specialties: clinical work, research, and teaching, in order to facilitate continuing advancements in patient care.
