Karan Johal, OD

Born in Punjab, India, I grew up in New Jersey, where I completed my undergraduate studies. I pursued my passion for vision at the Chicago College of Optometry, followed by a residency in ocular disease and primary care at The Eye Institute at Salus University. Currently, I work part-time as a faculty member at Salus and serve as a principal investigator for anterior segment trials with Vision Research Solutions, where I’ve also been a clinical research coordinator for multiple retina trials. In my free time, I enjoy watching football and basketball, playing basketball and volleyball, and discovering new restaurants and places. I love exploring Philadelphia with my Boston Terrier, Kobe, who adds a bit of adventure to my life!
