Dr. Francessca Piedra lives and breathes eye care. With over 18+ years of global experience as a Board-certified European-trained Optometrist and Licensed Optician, she’s become a recognized force in the specialty contact lens world. Currently a Senior Account Executive for Specialty at CooperVision, Dr. Piedra specializes in irregular corneas and drives growth in hybrid, GP, and cutting-edge scleral lens solutions across Florida, Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina.

As a fierce advocate for education and patient care, known for her hands-on training style that elevates eye care teams and empowers future leaders in optometry making complex lens systems feel exciting.

She’s the recipient of the Award for Excellence from SynergEyes and currently serves on the boards of the Contact Lens Society of America and is chairs the Education Committee. A proud member of the World Council of Optometry, Association of Technical Personnel in Ophthalmology and the Hungarian Optometric and Opticianry Association, her impact stretches far beyond state lines.

As Co-Founder, Treasurer, and Board Member of Women in Eyecare (WIE), Francessca champions representation, mentorship, and bold leadership in the industry. Her career has spanned clinical practice, ophthalmology management, EMR innovation, and now, industry leadership.
