Dede Reyes, FCLSA

Dede joined ABB Optical Group in March of 2019 as a Professional Education Consultant and Clinical Contact Lens Consultant She is currently the Manager of Consultation and Education. Her responsibilities include educational support and clinical consultation services for practitioners, staff, and clients.

Prior to ABB Optical Group, Dede served as Sr. Director of Clinical Services and Training and Product Specialist for SynergEyes. She was the co-director Contact Lens Service and specialty contact lens fitting at the University of California, Davis Medical Center, Department of Ophthalmology, where she also managed the UCDMC Refractive Surgery Service. She was Director of Contact Lens Services for Medical Vision Technology and Dr Julian Fisher, MD in Sacramento, CA.

She has Fellow Status, with the Contact Lens Society of America, since 1995 and a member since 1992. She was advanced certified with the National Contact Lens Examiners, in 1990, and certified by the Joint Commission of Allied Health Personal in Ophthalmology, in 1989.

She has extensive knowledge of the contact lens industry from both a clinical and technical aspect. She has authored and given multiple lectures on contact lens fitting and techniques. She has published a quarterly column for the CLSA Eyewitness Magazine and co-authored “Contact Lenses in Ophthalmic Practice”. She also has many contact lens-related articles and educational lectures to her credit.

Dede currently serves as president of the Board of Directors for the Contact Lens Society of America. She also received the 50 Most Influential Women in Optical for 2024.

She has also lectured both domestically and internationally to Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Opticians and Contact lens fitter on specialty lens fitting.
