Chawan Rasheed, OD

Chawan Rasheed is the 2020-2021 Cornea and Contact Lens/Refractive and Ocular Surgery Resident at the Southern College of Optometry (SCO). She is a native Memphian and graduated from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN with a Bachelors. She completed research and an extensive internship program at SCO during undergrad before becoming a student there.

During the residency, Chawan hopes to become more involved with the Memphis community and educate the citizens on ocular and systemic health at local events. Upon completion of the program, she expects to become involved with academia while squeezing in time to travel internationally and, hopefully, train a new puppy then!
