Anita Gulmiri, OD, FAAO


Dr. Anita Gulmiri earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry. Following graduation, Dr. Gulmiri went on to pursue Residency in Cornea/Contact lens. Prior to her current position at Tarsus Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Medical Ambassador, Dr. Gulmiri was faculty at New England College of Optometry and Attending at NECO Center for Eye Care and Boston Medical Center in the Advanced Contact Lens clinics. There Dr. Gulmiri specialized in designing medically necessary custom contact lenses for those patients suffering from irregular corneal and ocular surface disease. While at NECO, Dr. Gulmiri served as Associate Professor of Clinical Optometry and served as the Residency Director for NECO's Cornea and Contact Lens Residency Program, as well as Instructor of Record for Contact Lens II and Advanced Contact Lens Course. Dr. Gulmiri's passion for Cornea/CL extends to myopia management and she has had the pleasure of leading various continuing education programs in this nationally and internationally. Additionally, Dr. Gulmiri has been recognized as one of "America's Best Eye Doctors" by Newsweek three years in a row.

In her current role with Tarsus Pharmaceuticals Medical Affairs Team, Dr. Gulmiri serves as the liaison between industry and medical researchers for clinical, pre-clinical, and post-marketing studies. She is also responsible for establishing and maintaining professional relationships with key medical thought-leaders and researchers by providing complex medical and scientific information on current and upcoming Tarsus products, as well as therapeutic applications related to these products. This includes, but is not limited to, planning, and supporting educational programs, assisting with publications and presentations to both academic and other clinical professionals, researching and providing evidence-based literature for questions about our products and other topics of interest.
