Anh Bui, OD


Dr. Bui is a pediatric optometrist and a faculty member at the New England College of Optometry (NECO) as Assistant Professor of Optometry. He teaches and supervises students at the Myopia Control Clinic at NECO Center for Eye Care (NCEC), as well as at Codman Square Health Center and South Boston Community Health Center. 

Dr. Bui started his optometry career in Malaysia and helped establish the first optometry school in Vietnam. He holds a Doctor of Optometry degree from NECO and a Master of Science degree from Ohio State University, where he also completed a two-year fellowship in pediatrics and binocular vision. He teaches pediatric and binocular vision courses at NECO.

His clinical expertise includes pediatric eye exams, myopia management and binocular vision assessment. His research interests are in children's vision, especially myopia control, amblyopia, binocular vision and vision screening. Currently, Dr. Bui serves as the Principal Investigator for the FDA-regulated MiSight 1 Day Post-Approval Clinical Trial. He is also an investigator for the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG) and a co-investigator for multiple studies on myopia control treatments in children.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his two children outdoors, camping and cooking.
