Alison Ou, OD

Alison Ou is a current resident at the Wilmer Eye Institute. Originally from Northern California, she graduated from UCLA with a degree in Psychobiology before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. After graduation, she practiced for two years at Big City Optical in Chicago before pursuing residency training.

Outside of clinical practice, Alison is passionate about medical illustration and education. Her artwork is currently displayed at both the Illinois College of Optometry Research Center and the National Board of Examiners in Optometry headquarters, and she is developing an ocular anatomy drawing app for optometric education. In her free time, she enjoys CrossFit, exploring new cuisines, and crocheting.
