Abigail Witmer, OD

I joined the faculty at The Ohio State University College of Optometry as an Assistant Clinical Professor in July 2024 where I primarily work as a clinical attending for 3rd and 4th year optometry students in the Pediatrics, Binocular Vision, and Primary Vision Care Clinics. Additionally, I provide one day a week direct patient care at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. I completed a Pediatric Optometry residency at University of Alabama Birmingham where I gained experience fitting contact lenses for infant aphakia and myopia management. I am a 2023 graduate from The Ohio State University College of Optometry and completed my undergraduate degree at Pennsylvania State University, The Behrend College, where I competed as a Division III swimmer. I grew up in Herndon, VA, outside of Washington D.C., where my family still resides. In my free time, I love checking out new coffee shops in the Columbus area and cheering on both the Penn State and Ohio State football teams.
